Level 16 is the 17th level of the Backrooms.

Description:
What exactly Level 16 is meant to resemble is not known. The level resembles no exact man-made structure and is generally confusing to wanderers. The level's layout consist of a conglomerate of concrete and metallic rooms, all of which are in a strange and "displaced" layout. Many wanderers say that Level 16 feels "curved". This is due to many walls and corners of the level being heavily beveled and rounded over.
Rooms in Level 16 vary in large amounts, many rooms are round and circular rather than rectangular, and many walls are slanted or sloped. Metallic decor and structures also inhabit the level in odd places, but most often are found on the ceiling in ring-like formations. This level's lighting is also strange, with many spotlights lining the ceiling all pointing in random directions. There are many floors to Level 16, these floors are separated by escalators that move at a strangely slow rate. Level 16 appears to be non-euclidean with areas sometimes changing after wanderers leave them. It appears that Level 16 is styled in a 1960 and 70's futuristic type of architecture style, which leave a bitter-sweet feeling knowing that future architecture wouldn't turn out this way, leaving the level a liminal oddity.
Level 16 has a strange effect on wanderers in an indirect way. The level seems to leave a feeling of false-familiarity on those who enter it. The level seems to give the impression of a museum on those that travel inside of it, this seemingly being the closest structure to what Level 16 represents, yet heavily altered. This level is liminal in a way that other levels don't seem to be, as it is not as nostalgic as it is hauntingly familiar to something that is clearly made by humans but is in a design not associated with the ladder.
It is not known if any and/or how many entities inhabit this level as very few seem to have been spotted. The only confirmed encounter on this level was with Entity 10. No other sighting have been confirmed other than many wanderers claims that they hear distant footsteps that seem to get closer, yet with how slow the walking sounds it often leaves wanderers unsettled on how quickly the footsteps seem to approach.

Entrances
Level 16 can be entered through Level 15 via concrete door rarely found in the level. The only other entrances are through this level's sub level.
Exits
There are only 2 ways to leave Level 16. Heavily distorted areas with in far-out parts of the level have a chance of transporting wanderers into Level 17. The only other way to leave this level is to find metal trapdoors on sloped walls, a ladder with be found after opening the door, if traveled down these will lead to Level 16.1.
